Have you looked into Mobile Frame Zero yet? IMO it's way better than Brikwars. Plus, they have Soren Roberts (who is a near legend in the lego community) doing all the design work for the official mechs.

Yeah, it's pretty sweet. There's already a pretty good community springing up around it too. Plenty of blogs (mine included), forums, etc. The game hasn't been published yet and there's a huge amount of people already working on their troops!
